What does AIMixtapes do?
AIMixtapes helps you discover, organise, and share playlists across music and podcast platforms. You can import existing playlists, clean up track order, export changes to Spotify or Apple Music, and create digital mixtape gifts that include written stories and optional voice dedications. AI-assisted suggestions are rolling out gradually—when a feature is labelled “beta” we are still tuning it and feedback is welcome.
Do I need an account?
You need an account to create or edit playlists, connect streaming providers, or send gifts. Public playlists can be browsed without signing in.
Credits & Plans
How do credits work now?
Credits are our in-app currency. Today you spend credits to extend a playlist by +5 tracks, unlock edits on archived mixes, or run export/sync jobs to Spotify or Apple Music. Gifts consume a larger credit bundle (or can be purchased outright). Memberships include a monthly credit allotment plus perks such as higher export limits; pay-as-you-go packs never expire. What happens if I cancel my membership?
Cancellation stops future renewals, but you keep any unused credits from past packs or refills. Membership perks remain active until the end of your current billing cycle.
Mixtape Gifts
How do gifts work?
The gift builder lets you craft a narrated playlist experience: choose songs, add chapters and annotations, record optional voice intros/outros, and pick a presentation style. You can deliver instantly by email, schedule a future send, or share a private link yourself. Gifts stay accessible for at least 30 days and include analytics so you know when they are opened or claimed.
Can I edit or cancel a gift?
Yes. Until a gift is claimed or the scheduled delivery is sent, you can update tracks, swap artwork, or delete the gift from your dashboard. Removing the gift also deletes associated voice recordings from our storage.
Streaming Providers
Why do I need to connect Spotify or Apple Music?
We use provider APIs to read your library, match tracks, and push playlist updates. We request the minimum scopes needed to create and edit playlists; we never post to your feed or access streaming history without permission. You can unlink providers anytime from Settings or the provider’s own dashboard.
Exports keep failing—what should I try?
- Re-authenticate the provider if you see 401/403 errors; tokens typically expire after 24 hours.
- Ensure the playlist has at least one playable track in the target region. Spotify may reject unavailable songs.
- If Apple Music reports a generic error, try again after a few minutes—Apple’s MusicKit API occasionally rate-limits bursts of edits.
If the issue persists, contact support with the playlist ID and timestamp of the failure.
Privacy & Security
What data do you store?
We store account details, playlist metadata, optional cover art, and any voice clips you upload for gifts. Authentication and storage are powered by Firebase. Analytics is strictly opt-in via the cookie banner. For details, see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete individual playlists, gifts, and uploads from the app. To close your account or request a full export/removal, email support@aimixtapes.com and we will confirm via secure channel.
Billing & Refunds
Do you offer refunds?
Refunds are available in limited situations (unused credit packs, early membership cancellations, undelivered gifts). Review the full criteria on our Refund Policy page.
Can I pay for gifts without credits?
Yes. Gift checkout supports direct Stripe payments. If you prefer, you can convert credits instead—both options live side by side in the builder.
