This Cookie Policy explains how AIMixtapes ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies when you use AIMixtapes. For details about the personal data we collect and how we use it, please review our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. We also rely on browser storage technologies—such aslocalStorage, sessionStorage, and IndexedDB (used by Firebase Authentication)—to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and operate the Service securely. All storage described in this policy is first-party and controlled by us.
2. Categories We Use
- Essential: Required for security, authentication, payments, and core functionality. These cannot be disabled without breaking the Service.
- Preferences: Remember choices such as theme, layout, player settings, and in-progress workflows so the experience feels consistent between visits.
- Analytics: If you opt in, we send limited event data to PostHog to understand product usage. We do not set third-party advertising cookies.
3. Storage We Set
Name / Pattern | Storage Type | Purpose | Retention | Category |
---|---|---|---|---|
aimixtapes_consent_v1 | Cookie | Stores your most recent cookie-consent decision so we honour it across visits. | 12 months | Essential |
aimixtapes:consent:v1 | localStorage | Holds the same consent record (version, timestamp, chosen categories). | Until cleared | Essential |
firebase:auth* (IndexedDB/localStorage) | IndexedDB / localStorage | Firebase Authentication tokens that keep you signed in and secure API calls. | Until sign-out or cache clear | Essential |
postLoginReturn | sessionStorage | Remembers where to send you after logging in or linking an account. | Cleared after login | Essential |
sp_relink_* (for example, sp_relink_last) | sessionStorage | Helps resume Spotify/Apple Music linking flows if the browser closes mid-process. | Session | Essential |
ui:prefs | localStorage | Stores theme (dark/light/system), density, and reduced-motion choices. | Until cleared | Preferences |
prev_player*, pl_*, trackerViewMode, resume_bulk | localStorage | Remembers player volume/mute status, playlist list view, tracker filters, and unfinished bulk exports. | Until cleared | Preferences |
Analytics payload (no cookie) | Network request | If you opt in, we send pageview and event data to PostHog via HTTPS without creating extra cookies. | N/A | Analytics (opt-in) |
The examples above are current as of the date shown at the top of this page. Feature flags or experiments may introduce additional first-party keys; we will update this table when material changes occur.
4. Managing Your Preferences
You can adjust analytics and marketing consents at any time using the cookie banner or the "Manage preferences" link in the footer. Declining analytics stops future tracking calls (and we delete stored preferences on your device). Essential storage is required for AIMixtapes to work and cannot be disabled within the product.
You may also clear cookies and site data through your browser settings. Doing so signs you out, removes saved preferences, and resets any in-progress flows (for example, unfinished exports or gifts).
